This is a local favorite and a heavy producer. Amish deer tongue lettuce is named so for its triangular shaped leaves. Medium-green, triangular leaves are perfect for baby salad greens. It forms loose upright heads and is slow to bolt. A popular variety with many heirloom growers. This old Amish favorite is slow to bolt and can be grown well into summer. We grow it yearly as a nice addition to our buttercrunch. You can never have too much variety when it comes to lettuce. Each packet will contain 100 seeds and planting instructions. 50 days. Amish variety valued for its ruggedness and heavy production. Thick compact plant great for a cut-and-come-again lettuce. Sharply triangular green leaves with straight edges. Unique growth habit.
