D P Wigley is a Racine landmark building. Built in 1849 as Racine's City Mill, it houses the historic D P Wigley feed mill, which has been in continuous operation at the site since 1903. A massive 6 story structure, the building houses several businesses, and is home to the Belle City Brewers & Vintners.
D P Wigley Company is a feed and grain, lawn & garden, old-time general store.
Hop To It Brewing & Winemaking Supplies is a natural offshoot of the feed & grain business. For more than a century, we have sold grains. Now we also offer grains for the home brewer, along with winemaking kits and supplies, cheesemaking kits, and more.
The building also houses the Flynn Detective Agency, a forensic investigative genealogical business that specializes in tracing missing persons for probate purposes.
Envisioned for the near future are a boutique winery store and a microbrewery.

D P Wigley (Dafyyd David Paynter Wigley) has long been a historical cornerstone of Racine history. For the past 112 years DP Wigley has been serving the community as a Feed & Grain store. To this day the grain elevators still work. D P Wigley Hall was a well known gathering spot since the early 1900's.

Come on in and marvel at the simplicity and laid back life of yesteryear in an Urban City. Spend time talking, as your grandparents did, in a no-rush atmosphere that we all long for. Chris and Mark Flynn are always knowledgeable in the products they sell and are always willing to help answer any questions you might have.

Ask to take a walk around the "Old Grain Mill" and see for yourself the forever lasting craftsmanship that has long been forgotten.
Enjoy the smell and sounds of days gone by in a building nearly as old as our city!
Contained herein are hundreds of old photos and postcards, most from the D P Wigley collection but some have been donated by area photographers and historians interested in the preservation of Racine's heritage.
